Need some help?
We have two sizes of boards available, and can help you to choose which size is best for you. We also have a wealth of local knowledge to help you find the best and safest spots to paddle, and to ensure you have fun on the water
Machrins is the perfect spot to try out paddleboarding for the first time. When the tide is in, the bay is large, fairly shallow and sometimes even warm!
If you are an absolute beginner then we require you to book in for a 2 hour lesson with Jen. She is a qualified instructor, and will show you the ropes. You can then arrange to keep the board for the rest of the day, or even the week, if you get the bug!
On a calm day, Kiloran is simply stunning to paddle the length of. It's very weather-dependent though, as an offshore wind could see you accidentally heading off to Mull for your holiday! For this reason, we would only recommend taking your board here if you are confident on your board, or if it is a very calm day.
If you are in doubt about where to go, feel free to get in touch with Jen, who can help you find a suitable spot.
